Male Survivor International Conference

The National Organization against Male Sexual Victimization www.malesurvivor.org is a unique organization for male survivors; their family and friends who want to convey their support; as well as professionals who work with, and advocate for them.


The MaleSurvivor 2007 International Conference entitled Relief, Recovery, and Restoration: Helping Men Heal from Sexual Abuse will be held on October 25-28, 2007.  The event will take place at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City www.jjay.cuny.edu .  The 2007 international conference promises to be an exciting one so mark the date.


The Male Survivor International Conference is intended for male survivors and their loved ones; clinical and social service professionals; lawyers, law enforcement professionals, and legal advocates; and researchers, educators, and students.


By May, information regarding the Pre-conference Training Institutes, plenary and featured speakers, and concurrent workshops, as well as the cost for the conference and hotel accommodations will be posted on their website.

Tantra For Sexual Abuse Survivors

Often sexual abuse survivors have difficulty embracing sex and sexuality in healthy, loving ways because sex was used to harm them.  Sexual abuse often causes people to have a shame-based sense of sex.  This prohibits the survivor from reclaiming and restoring their sexuality, and can be very challenging for their partners who often feel confused about how to approach the survivor. Weekends of Recovery For Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse

The MaleSurvivor Weekends of Recovery provide a way to find words, understanding and a sense of community to men as they continue their experience of psychotherapy or begin the process of recovery. This experience is structured to provide experiences that are not often available in traditional talk therapy environments.

These dynamic retreats are structured to respond to the many issues facing men on their journey through recovery.  This is an opportunity to
share with other survivors some aspect of your healing journey, share inner pain with others who have been there, give a voice to your experience as a survivor, experience a safe environment and a safe place to let go and open up, and a safe place to build and experience a sense of community and joy.
